However, during tanking, the PV12 (pneumatic valve) failed ’stuck’ on the fill and drain system on Discovery, causing the scrub for “at least” 48 hours.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7913356845060967413.post-69848917135816351432009-08-25T13:28:18.769-07:002009-08-25T13:28:18.769-07:00what a bummer.
Still have very vivid memories of ...what a bummer.

Still have very vivid memories of seeing my one and only launch, albeit at a much greater distance than where you were.

I was in Cocoa Beach with one of my AAU teams at the National Tourney, and we went onto the beach outside our hotel to see the flaming trail of the shuttle as it streaked through the sky.

12 11-year olds and their parents stood in awe, as did I.

I'm sure there were thousands of folks on the beach doing the exact same thing we were doing. I'll never forget it.

And then we went to our game and lost to finish in 8th place instead of 5th. Haven't forgot that one either, 17 years later.Marc Pruitthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13326984852055164500noreply@blogger.com
